A Branch In The Spokes (Lyrics)

This time of year, I always think that you’ll call
say you’ll be home for Christmas, and we’ll be like before,
But I know, I know, the chances are low.

Good morning, I’m Walking in darkness.
I know what time of year this is.
You’re fooling no-one.
You’re coping, so long as this is the worst that it gets.

This time of year, I always think that you’ll call
say you’ll be home for Christmas, and we’ll be like before,
But I know, I know, the chances are low.

Can you hear me? can you hear me?
For all of these old berries…

And… Holy angels they sing,
Oh they have such a lovely
ring me when you get this,
ring me when you get this.

This time of year, I always think that you’ll call
say you’ll be home for Christmas, and we’ll be like before,
This time of year, I always think that you’ll call
say you’ll be home for Christmas, and we’ll be like before,

But I know, I know, the chances are low,
I know well,
I know well, you won’t call me when you get this,
Call me when you get this.

Electrical Lines

New Alternative Releases

Artist: Matteo Scumaci

Album: Electrical Lines

While most indie music today has just become another stagnant genre to fill radio airtime between ad breaks, Electrical Lines both harks back to the glory days of The Smiths and Pulp whilse simultaneously setting the benchmark for all the young pretenders of today and tomorrow.

This is truly an exceptional collection of songs, every one a diamond in the dust. Soaring melodies collide with intimate soundscapes, intelligent lyrics and a beautiful voice add up to only some of the whole audio experience.
To find out it’s the work of only one man, Matteo Scumaci , is rather astonishing.

From the intimacy of “Untitled Sketch” to the majesty of “Hold Your Horses” you hear more with every play as the seem to peel back to reveal more of this amazing talent.  We can’t rate this album highly enough.

Undoubtedly the best debut since “Definitely Maybe”.

Rating: 10/10  (Highly  recommended)
